 TV On The Radio wracają nowym, znakomitym albumem. Po sukcesie ich ostatniej płyty „Dear Science” z 2008 roku liderzy formacji Dave Andrew Sitek i Kyp Malone postanowili poświęcić swój czas na realizację projektów solowych. W 2009 roku Malone wydał pod szyldem Rain Machine kolekcję niezwykle osobistych, kameralnych piosenek. Sitek, na albumie formacji Maximum Balloon, dał upust swojej długoletniej fascynacji muzyką taneczną i popem lat 80-tych. Nie pozostało to bez wpływu na ich nowy materiał. Czwarty studyjny krążek w dyskografii nowojorskiej formacji, „Nine Types Of Light” wypełniły prostsze, bardziej przystępne kompozycje. Choć trudno tu mówić o radykalnej zmianie stylu. To wciąż TV On The Radio, które znamy z takich płyt jak „Return To Cookie Mountain” czy przełomowej „Dear Science” (wybranej albumem roku 2008 przez Rolling Stone, Spin, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly oraz MTV). Zmiany rytmu, melodii i motywów w obrębie jednej kompozycji, przesterowane gitary oraz nowoczesna produkcja nadal pozostają ich znakiem rozpoznawczym. „Wydaje mi się, że nasze nowe piosenki są prostsze” - mówi o „Nine Types Of Light” wokalista Tunde Adebimpe. - „A może po prostu jesteśmy coraz lepsi w tym co robimy.”Tracklista:1.
