Rok 1979 należał do Motörhead i płyt "Bomber" oraz "Overkill". Motörhead, najgłośniejszy zespół na świecie, z siłą setek młotów pneumatycznych zniszczył cały kraj, nie biorąc żadnych jeńców. "Bomber" i "Overkill" okazały się 10-krotnie agresywniejsze niż i tak zabójczy debiut "Motörhead". Produkcję powierzono doświadczonemu Jimmy'emu Millerowi, który wcześniej pracował m.in. z The Rolling Stones. Zdołał on wyciągnąć z Motörhead, co najlepsze, a efekt końcowy był po prostu zabójczy. Wydawnictwa promowały siejące spustoszenie single "Overkill", "No Class" i "Bomber". "Bomber" i "Overkill" to kwintesencja Motörhead - prosty, bezpośredni rock and roll i jazda bez trzymanki. Bohuslav Martinu was a prolific writer of concertos and concertante works. Among these are four for solo cello, and four in which the cello features in the concertante group (Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra, two Concertos for Piano Trio and Orchestra, and the Haydnesque Sinfonia concertante in B flat for violin, cello, oboe, bassoon and orchestra). Of those for solo cello, three are presented on this recording - the missing one is the Sonata da camera, written at Aix en Provence in November and December 1940 for the Swiss cellist Henri Honegger
