Wybitny kompozytor pochodzący z Wielkiej Brytanii Eric Coates, urodzony w 1882 roku w Hucknall, zmarł w 1957 roku w Chichester. Prócz komponowania, artysta grał również na altówce i skrzypcach. Absolwent Królewskiej Akademii Muzycznej w Londynie.
