Płyta „54” to owoc współpracy gitarzysty  Johna Scofielda  z dyrygentem i kompozytorem Vincem Mendoza.  Jim Morrison to jeden z największych czarodziei rocka. Ikona gatunku. Genialny frontman, świetny poeta, człowiek szalony i niepokorny. Nieznający umiaru w różnych przejawach autodestrukcji, co doprowadziło go do przedwczesnej śmierci 3 lipca 1971 roku w Paryżu. W 2011 roku przypada 40. rocznica tego smutnego wydarzenia, które położyło kres istnieniu The Doors, jednej z najważniejszych grup rockowych w historii. Z tej okazji zaplanowano szereg imprez upamiętniających Jima. Te najważniejsze odbędą się oczywiście w stolicy Francji, bo na znajdującym się w Paryżu cmentarzu Père Lachaise spoczywa ciało Jima. Będą koncerty cover bandów, czytanie poezji, okolicznościowe wydawnictwa poświęcone Jimowi, specjalny blog przygotowany na tę okazję. Najważniejsza jednak będzie obecność Raya Manzarka i Robby'ego Kriegera, członków The Dorrs, którzy zagrają koncert w sali "Le Bataclan", w której przed laty pierwsze sukcesy odnosił Maurice Chevalier. Upamiętnienie okrągłej rocznicy śmierci Jima rozciągnięto na kilka innych krajów i kontynentów. Koncerty cover bandów, czytanie poezji Morrisona, okolicznościowe wydawnictwa będzie można podziwiać również między innymi w Niemczech, Szwajcarii, Austrii, Holandii, Anglii, Irlandii, Szkocji, RPA, Kanadzie, Rosji, Belgii, we Włoszech. Ray i Robbie również pojawią się w tych krajach z koncertami. Niestety, do Polski nie dotrą, ale 13 lipca będzie można zobaczyć legendarnych muzyków w Pradze, w hali Incheba.
