Po wydaniu albumu „The Rainbow Children” i przed wydaniem studyjnej płyty „One Nite Alone…” Prince ruszył w trasę koncertową. Jednak, w przeciwieństwie do intymności solowego albumu „One Nite Alone…”, trasa ta odbyła się w towarzystwie zespołu New Power Generation.
