Joe Satriani sam jest gitarą. To jasne i oczywiste. Nikt inny nie potrafi grać na tym instrumencie z takim wyczuciem, płynnością i ponadczasowością. Nie znaczy to że na świecie nie ma innych utalentowanych gitarzystów – jednak wszystkim im daleko do magii, jaka powstaje gdy Mistrz rozpoczyna grę. Od końca lat 80-tych ten samouk z ponad 7 milionami sprzedanych płyt na koncie nieustannie poszerza grono swoich fanów zarówno solowymi płytami jak i trasami i współpracą z Mickiem Jaggerem, Deep Purple a także dzięki udziałowi w projekcie G3 w którym występował obok innych znanych gitarzystów – Steve’a Vaia, Erica Johnsona i Kenny’ego Wayne’a Shepherda. Był też nauczycielem m.in. Steve’a Vaia czy Kirka Hammetta (Metallica). Na płycie “Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock” Joe prezentuje nam nie tylko jedne z najbardziej porywających utworów w swojej karierze “I Just Wanna Rock” ale także po raz pierwszy gra na gitarze akustycznej “Andalucia”.Jedno pozostaje niezmienne – w gitarowej wirtuozerii nadal odkrywa nowe tory, pozostawiając wszystkich daleko w tyle. Album promuje singiel i teledysk do “I Just Wanna Rock”.

"Szalony profesor" połączył siły z brazylijskim piosenkarzem Marcelinho Da Lua z czego wyszedł niesamowity mix reggae-techno-samba. Mad Professor, właściwie Neil Fraser (ur. w 1955 w Georgetown, Gujana) – twórca muzyki oraz remiksów z gatunku dub, producent, znany ze współpracy z twórcami muzyki reggae takimi jak: Lee "Scratch" Perry, Sly and Robbie, Pato Banton, Jah Shaka czy Horace Andy, również z artystami innych nurtów (Sade, Massive Attack, The Orb). Twórca londyńskiego studio nagraniowego Ariwa (1979) zajmującego się szeroko pojętą muzyką reggae. W jego studio nagrał trzy swoje albumy polski zespół Izrael 1991 (1991), Dża ludzie (2008) oraz Izrael meets Mad Professor & Joe Ariwa (2010). Występował kilkukrotnie w Polsce m.in. w warszawskich klubach Proxima (z Macka B 05.05.1999), Palmiarnia (03.03.2000 r.), CDQ (z Lee "Scratch" Perrym (07.09.2002)) oraz w łódzkim Klubie Wytwórnia (z synem Joe Ariwą i Macka B, 10 września 2010, w ramach Soundedit '10).
