Jean-Philippe Rameau - jeden z najwybitniejszych francuskich kompozytorów. Autor oper i oper baletowych (m.in. "Les Indes galantes", "Castor et Pollux"). Tworzył też dzieła kameralne, taneczne, kantaty i muzykę kościelną. Jean-Philippe Rameau był ciągle młodym muzykiem, kiedy przeniósł się do Lyonu i skomponował kilka motetów w tym Wielki Motet In Convertendo. Właśnie ten motet prezentuje nam mało znana w Polsce orkiestra Les Arts Florissants pod dyrekcją Williama Christie. Muzycy pod batutą W. Christie prezentują nie tylko doskonały warsztat, ale i młodzieńczą pasję i siłę przekazu graniczącą z "mistyczną" ekspresją.
