Founded in Ravenna, Italy, in 1983, the Accademia Bizantina is a group of talented musicians with diverse musical interests who came together to form a self-managed group where music could be made in an atmosphere of research and historical understanding.Mauro Valli is solo cellist for the ensemble Accademia Bizantina, together with which he pursues intensive concert and recording activities. He plays a 1738 Louis Guersan cello.Look forwardto this release, which waspresented in 2003 by ARTS in superior 24 bit / 96 kHz sound quality andhas received many great reviews since. In June2011, this recording will now also be available as high-quality hybrid SACD in multichannel sound.
