Lata 90. Running Wild, legendarni niemieccy pionierzy power metalu i piewcy piractwa, niezmiennie pod komendą Rolfa Kasparka, rozpoczęli dwoma znakomitymi albumami. Drugi z nich, "Pile Of Skulls" z 1992 roku, ukazuje się ponownie. Zespół powrócił tu do tak lubianych przez fanów klimatów pirackich, do tego w wielkim stylu. Aczkolwiek w tekstach znalazło się miejsce na opisy tyranii, korupcji i nadużycia władzy na przestrzeni dziejów. Jest tu, chociażby utwór oparty na "Wyspie skarbów" Roberta Louisa Stevensona.   The process of diminution in the music of Giovanni Bassano (c1558-1617) should not be understood in an over-literal sense: the diminution of note values significantly increases the technical demands of these works. Around 1600, Bassano perfected the art of ornamentation in the melodic lines of polyphonic works through fast figuration patterns, particularly in his music for wind instruments, creating a dazzling display of virtuosity. He not only applied this principle to his own partitas and fantasias but also to the works of other composers; in a volume published in 1591, he compiled a collection of compositions by contemporary masters such as Palestrina and Cipriano de Rore reworked according to his own unmistakable style, creating instrumental and vocal works for virtuoso soloists. Monika Mauch and the Capricornus Ensemble Stuttgart set off on a voyage of discovery in this new recording of arrangements and original works by Bassano, highlighting this unfamiliar tonal world with the aid of their colourful instrumental palette.

Snow Patrol celebruje 25-lecie działalności albumem „Reworked”. Na płytę trafiło 13 największych hitów zespołu w nowych aranżacjach. Nie zabrakło też premierowych utworów. Brytyjczycy mają na koncie miliard streamów katalogu, pięć albumów ze statusem platyny w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz szereg nagród i wyróżnień, w tym nominacje do Grammy i Mercury Music Prize. „Po pierwszej dekadzie bez większych sukcesów, żaden z nas nie spodziewał się, że w kolejnych latach sprzedamy 17 mln egzemplarzy albumów i zagramy na festiwalach na całym świecie” – wspomina Gary Lightbody, lider Snow Patrol. „Chasing Cars”, które również trafiło na „Reworked” w zmienionej wersji, ogłoszono niedawno najchętniej granym w stacjach radiowych kawałkiem nagranym w XXI wieku. Premierowe utwory na „Reworked” to „Time Won’t Go Slowly” – muzycy przyznają, że chcieli na nim uzyskać brzmienie, jakie powstałoby ze skrzyżowania Franka Oceana i Franka Sinatry, folkowa ballada „I Think Of Home” oraz epickie „Made Of Something Different Now”.
