Aby uczcić stulecie urodzin Leonarda Bernsteina, Sir Antonio Pappano dyryguje trzema symfoniami amerykańskiego kompozytora oraz "Prelude, Fuge and Riffs". Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia długo współpracowała z Bernsteinem, który po raz pierwszy dyrygował zespołem w 1948 roku. "Uważam, że te symfonie są odkrywcze w prawdziwym znaczeniu tego słowa" - mówi Pappano. "Są niezwykle emocjonalne i osobiste( ...) W sercu, Lenny był pełen pragnienia, by braterstwo człowieka było czymś prawdziwym i konkretnym (...) Jako wielki człowiek renesansu, starał się uczynić świat dobrym." - dodaje maestro.
