Poczwórna platyna w USA, superhity "Love Shack", "Roam" i "Deadbeat Club" – to krótka wizytówka piątego studyjnego albumu pionierów art popu, amerykańskiej formacji The B-52's, "Cosmic Thing", wydanego w czerwcu 1989 roku. Płyta obchodzi w 2019 roku 30-lecie ukazania się i z tej okazji ukazuje się w specjalnej, poszerzonej wersji. Płyta pierwsza "Cosmic Thing" to oryginalny materiał ponownie zmasterowany. Piosenki oryginalnie nagrali Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson oraz Keith Strickland, a produkcją podzielili się legendarni Nile Rodgers i Don Was. Do oryginalnej tracklisty dodano pięć bonusów, które są remiksami albo pochodzą ze stron B singli, chociażby "B-52's Megamix" i "Roam (Extended Remix) ". Płyta druga zawiera nagrania koncertowe, które wcześniej nie były publikowane. Zarejestrowano je podczas występu The B-52's 4 sierpnia 1990 roku w The Pavillion, w teksańskim mieście The Woodlands. Wyjątkiem jest tu kompozycja "Whammy Kiss", którą nagrano dzień wcześniej na koncercie w Dallas. W setliście znalazło się aż siedem piosenek z płyty "Cosmic Thing" plus klasyki grupy, jak "Rock Lobster", "Dance This Mess Around", "Private Idaho", czy "Give Me Back My Man". Z "Cosmic Thing" pochodzi pierwszy amerykański utwór zespołu w Top 10 "Billboardu", czyli oczywiście "Love Shack". Ten wynik powtórzyła piosenka "Roam". Dzięki tym sukcesom zespół z Athens w stanie Georgia stał się wielką gwiazdą w USA. Dodatkiem do całości jest piękny booklet z notką autorstwa T. Cole Rachela, tekstami piosenek i wcześniej niepublikowanymi zdjęciami. Płyta wylądowała ostatecznie na trzeciej pozycji "Billboardu" i sprzedała się w USA w ponad 4 mln egzemplarzy.
