Od wydania ostatniego albumu Snow Patrol minęło aż siedem lat. Na szczęście nie musimy już dłużej czekać. Muzycy ogłosili, że ich krążek – "Wildness" – ukazuje się 25 maja. Snow Patrol, choć mają już ugruntowaną pozycję na rynku, wciąż poszukują nowych znaczeń i inspiracji, ale jednocześnie pozostają wierni melodyjnym kompozycjom, które przyniosły im popularność na całym świecie. "Wildness", jak sugeruje sam tytuł płyty, będzie materiałem surowym, wręcz pierwotnym. Od debiutu w 1998 roku, Snow Patrol sprzedali 15 milionów płyt na całym świecie, zdobyli nominacje do najbardziej prestiżowych nagród, w tym Grammy, BRIT czy Mercury Music Prize, a ich piosenek w serwisach cyfrowych odsłuchano ponad miliard razy. W 2012 roku muzycy postanowili skupić się na solowych projektach. Przerwa w działalności sprawiła, że teraz Snow Patrol powraca silniejsze niż kiedykolwiek, z mnóstwem inspiracji. Muzycy Snow Patrol chwalą się wszem i wobec, że ich nowa płyta, przebije wszystko, co słyszeliśmy do tej pory. Jest jak twierdzą przede wszystkim zasługa większej ilości czasu, jaki mogli spędzić w studio. „Mogliśmy więcej poeksperymentować, poprawić wiele rzeczy, na które poprzednio nie mieliśmy czasu". Zespół wszedł do studia w znakomitej formie i dobrze „rozegrany" po serii koncertów, w czasie której występowali między innymi z Ianem Brownem. Nagrywanie szło więc łatwiej a do tego zespół uzyskał niesamowitą pomoc ze strony producenta Garetta Lee, który miał niesamowicie dobry wpływ na cały proces powstawania albumu jak i na samych muzyków. O tym, że poszło im nad wyraz dobrze świadczy już pierwszy singiel, przebojowy, dynamiczny „You All I Have". Snow Patrol to jeden z ważniejszych zespołów rockowych w 2006!
