Ella 100 - Świat Świętuje Stulecie Urodzin Elli FitzgeraldPierwszej Damie Piosenki dedykowanych będzie kilka nowych albumów, wiele koncertów, a także wystaw poświęconych jej wspaniałej karierze.Publiczność zgromadzona 31 marca w Bibliotece Kongresu - wyjątkowym i znaczącym dla Elli Fitzgerald miejscu, gdzie obecnie znajduje się unikalne archiwum jej twórczości – nagrań, nut oraz oryginalnych, ręcznie pisanych tekstów, wysłuchała niemniej wyjątkowego koncertu. Artystkę upamiętniła wybitna wokalistka, laureatka licznych nagród muzycznych, a przede wszystkim wielka fanka Elli – Dianne Reeves. Inne wielkie przeboje, które znalazły się na czterech płytach, to, między innymi: “Summertime”, “A-Tisket, A-Tasket”, “(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons”, czy “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”.Verve zaplanowało wydanie kolejnych albumów, które będą ukazywać się w ramach serii Ella 100: Ella Fitzgerald Sings The George and Ira Gershwin Song Books, Cheek To Cheek: The Complete Ella & Louis Duets oraz Ella Fitzgerald: The Complete Original Song Books. Tylko za życia sprzedała ponad 40 milionów płyt, zdobyła też każdą możliwą do zdobycia nagrodę: the Kennedy Center Honor (1979), the National Medal of Arts (1987), France's Commander of Arts and Letters (1990), the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1992) oraz 13 nagród Grammy. Tracklista: CD 1 1. Sing Me A Swing Song (And Let Me Dance) 2. (If You Can’t Sing It) You’ll Have To Swing It 3. Dedicated To You 4.
