W październiku 2018 roku, dziesięć lat po premierze serialu „Flight Of The Conchords” nadawanego w HBO, komicy Bret McKenzie i Jemaine Clement wrócili z odcinkiem specjalnym. „Live in London” został nagrany przed publicznością na żywo w londyńskim Eventim Apollo, podczas którego The Conchords wykonywali utwory z wyprzedanej brytyjskiej i irlandzkiej trasy „Flight Of The Conchords Sing Flight Of The Conchords” Tour. Duet wystąpił również w The Late Show ze Stephenem Colbertem jesienią 2018 roku. Nowozelandczycy McKenzie i Clement zadebiutowali w HBO w 2005 roku w serii komediowej „One-Night Stand”, powracając do sieci w 2007 roku z debiutanckim sezonem ich uznanej, nominowanej do Emmy serii „Flight Of The Conchords”. Duet podpisał również światowy kontrakt z Sub Pop Records - w 2007 roku ukazała się nagrodzona nagrodą Grammy EP-ka „The Distant Future”, a następnie dwa pełnometrażowe albumy - imienny, debiutancki w 2008 roku i „I Told You I Was Freaky” w 2009 roku.
