A concerto album from Stephen Hough is always a significant event. For this new recording Stephen travelled to Bergen – Grieg’s home town – to join forces with Andrew Litton and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of Grieg and Liszt that are set to become landmark recordings of all three concertos. The Brabant Ensemble, better known for uncovering works by forgotten composers such as Dominique de Phinot, turns to a giant of the Renaissance—perhaps the most celebrated name of the period. Po 10 latach The Cranberries powracają z nowym, rewelacyjnym albumem zatytułowanym „Roses”. Zespół tworzą niezmiennie Dolores O’Riordan, Noel Hogan, Mike Hogan oraz Fergal Lawler, których kariera rozpoczęła się w 1989 roku w rodzinnym mieście Limerick w Irlandii. W latach 90-tych grupa The Cranberries sprzedała ponad trzydzieści milionów płyt i zdobyła czołową pozycję wśród zespołów rockowych. Produkcją albumu „Roses” zajął się długoletni przyjaciel zespołu - Stephen Street, którego zamiarem był powrót do świeżości i oryginalności dwóch pierwszych płyt The Cranberries – „Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” oraz „No Need To Argue”. Po wydaniu w 2001 roku albumu „Wake Up And Smell The Coffee”, zespół The Cranberries ogłosił przerwę w działalności. Po ośmiu latach od nagrania ostatniej płyty grupa na krótko reaktywowała się z okazji uroczystości w Trinity College – "Kiedy zaczęliśmy grać, miałam wrażenie, że nigdy nie zaprzestaliśmy wspólnych występów. Jest coś niesamowitego w graniu z The Cranberries, można to porównać do założenia idealnej pary butów. Po prostu pasują". – mówiła wówczas Dolores O’Riordan. Teraz dodaje: "Nagranie dwóch solowych albumów z różnymi muzykami, uświadomiło mi, że Noel oraz Mike potrafią stworzyć wyjątkowe oraz jedyne w swoim rodzaju akordy, które Ferg zbiera razem w całość. „Groove Denied” Stephena Malkmusa ukazał się nakładem Domino Recording. Tajemniczy album Stephena Malkmusa nie jest pełnym zanurzeniem w EDM czy hiptronice. W rzeczywistości na płycie nie ma żadnych instrumentalnych utworów. Każda piosenka przynosi zręczne melodie Malkmusa i jego zawoalowane teksty. „Groove Denied” to Stephen wyrywający się rutynie.  Jak sam powiedział: „Fajnie jest bawić się rzeczami, którymi bawić się nie powinieneś.”. Kiedy Stephen Malkmus po raz pierwszy pojawił się na scenie na początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych jako frontman i główna twórcza siła Pavement. Obszar muzyki, z którym był związany, nie był tak naprawdę daleki od brzmień techno-rave tamtych czasów. Elektroniczna muzyka taneczna, podobnie jak teraz, dotyczyła postludzkiej precyzji, nieorganicznych faktur i hiper-cyfrowej klarowności. Ruch lo-fi w podziemnej skali bronił estetyki niechlujstwa, szorstkości i surowego ciepła - setki subtelnych odcieni, zniekształceń i otarć.
