Druga płyta zespołu z Birmingham zatytułowana „Mothers” wydana 19 września nakładem wytwórni Chess Club/RCA. „Stworzyliśmy ten album bardzo ciężko pracując i jesteśmy z tego bardzo dumni. Jesteśmy ogromnie podekscytowani kolejnym rozdziałem w karierze zespołu.” – mówi o płycie Austin Williams, wokalista Swim Deep.Przy okazji płyty skład zespołu zasilił multi-instrumentalista James Balmont. Album był nagrywany w Londynie i Brukseli z udziałem londyńskiego producenta Dreamtraka. Muzycy opisują „Mothers” jako „zdecydowane odejście” od ich debiutanckiego albumu „Where The Heaven Are We” z 2013r. Britpop z pierwszej płyty został zastąpiony bardziej psychodelicznym, zmysłowym brzmieniem, które zespół porównuje do gwiazd takich jak Kanye West oraz Fleetwood Mac.
