Album Lambchop „This (Is What I Wanted To Tell You)” ukazał się nakładem City Slang. Zmiana jest tak subtelna i skromna, że możesz nawet nie zauważyć, że do niej doszło. Jednak na 42-minutowym czternastym albumie Lambchop - rozbrajającej i intymnej spowiedzi pod tytułem „This (Is What I Wanted To Tell You)” - Kurt Wagner zrobił krok do przodu, jego głos pokazuje nowe piękno.  Z chwilą, gdy zniknęły zabiegi autotune'owe znane z ostatnich płyt Lambchop, jego głos stał się otwarty i szczery, jak gitara akustyczna i samotna harmonijka, które podążają za nim.
