Rok 1979 należał do Motörhead i płyty "Bomber". Motörhead, najgłośniejszy zespół na świecie, z siłą setek młotów pneumatycznych zniszczył cały kraj, nie biorąc żadnych jeńców. "Bomber" okazał się 10-krotnie agresywniejszą płytą niż i tak zabójczy debiut "Motörhead". Produkcję powierzono doświadczonemu Jimmy'emu Millerowi, który wcześniej pracował m.in. z The Rolling Stones. Zdołał on wyciągnąć z Motörhead, co najlepsze, a efekt końcowy był po prostu zabójczy.
