Alfred McCoy Tyner (ur. 11 grudnia 1938 w Filadelfii) – doskonały amerykański pianista i kompozytor jazzowy. Jego najsłynniejsze nagrania pochodzą ze współpracy z Johnem Coltranem (m.in doskonałe albumy "Impressions", i "A Love Supreme") oraz solowej gry. Został Laureatem NEA Jazz Masters Award 2002. W początkach kariery Tyner pozostawał pod znacznym wpływem Buda Powella, Theloniousa Monka i Arta Tatuma, a współpraca z Coltranem zaowocowała wypracowaniem własnego stylu. Muzyka, jaką grał i przede wszystkim komponował, dowodzi niezwykle skomplikowanej harmonii. W późniejszym okresie wykorzystywał elementy muzyczne nietypowe dla jazzu, a charakterystyczne m.in. dla afrykańskiej i azjatyckiej muzyki etnicznej oraz wywodzące się z tradycji europejskiej muzyki klasycznej oraz rozrywkowej. Wciąż prowadzi aktywną działalność koncertową i nagraniową.
