„Third Round” to kolejna po “Neighbourhood “ i “Playground” płyta znakomitego francuskiego perkusisty jako lidera, wyprodukowana przez ECM.  Manu Katche zaprosił do nagrania albumu basiste Pino Palladino, z którym współpracuje i gra od ponad 25 lat. Na fortepianie usłyszeć można Jasona Rebello (współpracowal min z . garym Burtonem, Branfordem Marsalisem, Stingiem  czy Madeleine Peyroux) a także norweskiego saxofoniste Tore Brunborg, który tylko w tym roku pojawia się w trzech ECM-owskich projektach:  Tord Gustavsen Ensemble, Trio z Ketilem Bjornstadem i Jonem Christensenem, oraz jako członek bandu  Manu Katche. Dwoma pozstałymi muzykami sa Jakob Young ( gitara)  oraz Kami Lyle – trebaczka ktorej wokal sychac w dwóch nagraniach na płycie.
