„A Journey Through The Body” został nagrany dla włoskiego Narodowego Radia RAI w Rzymie w marcu 1981 roku. Na polecenie Roberta Wyatta RAI pierwotnie zleciła Cosey Fanni Tutti stworzenie utworu dźwiękowego opartego na temacie „A Journey Through The Body”. Stał się projektem Throbbing Gristle, który został później nadany przez RAI. Było to ostatnie studyjne nagranie Throbbing Gristle. Zostało ona zarejestrowana w ciągu pięciu dni, każdy dzień był przeznaczony dla innej części ciała Nie nagrano ponownie żadnych utworów, ani nie dodano do nich żadnych utworów/ Każdy utwór był miksowany natychmiast po nagraniu.
