Na płycie znajdują się: - rejestracja występu z Royal Albert Hall, który odbył się w styczniu 70 roku, - triumfalna seria pięciu koncertów zorganizowanych w Earl's Court w maju 75 roku, - rejestracja rewelacyjnych występów z Knebworth Festival z sierpnia 79 roku (rok przed rozwiązaniem zespołu). Znalazły się tu również utwory wykonane w nowojorskim Madison Square Garden w lipcu 73 roku, które nie zostały wykorzystane na filmowym zapisie koncertowym The Song Remains The Same - jedynym dotychczas wydanym materiale filmowym, dokumentującym występ Led Zeppelin na żywo. Do innych perełek należą niezwykle rzadkie wystąpienia telewizyjne grupy, w tym materiał zarejestrowany przez telewizję duńską w marcu 1969 roku, klipy promocyjne, wywiady telewizyjne, materiał pozasceniczny, a nawet "piraty" autorstwa fanów zespołu. Świetna jakość dźwięku i obrazu na LED ZEPPELIN DVD została osiągnięta dzięki mistrzowskiemu zremiksowaniu oraz starannemu remasteringowi, wykorzystano w tym celu system Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, DTS i PCM Two-Channel Stereo.
