Album zawiera kilkanaście światowych przebojów w mistrzowskim wykonaniu Mister Acker Bilka w tym między innymi: "Yesterday", "A whiter shade of pale", "Nights in white satin", "Lay lady lay", "Bridge over troubled water", "Rainy night in Georgia". W 1961 roku, Acker nagrał "Stranger On The Shore". Był to międzynarodowy przebój i pierwszy w historii numer jeden w tym samym czasie w Wielkiej Brytanii i Stanach Zjednoczonych. Acker Bilk, właśc. Bernard Stanley Bilk (ur. 28 stycznia 1929 w Pensford (Somerset) – brytyjski, klarnecista, kompozytor, wokalista i kierownik zespołu jazzowego. Karierę zawodową rozpoczął w wieku 18 lat. W 1958 wyszła jego pierwsza płyta "Mr Acker Bilk Requests", która zapoczątkowała jego karierę. Towarzyszył mu zespół Paramount Jazz Band. Wystąpił w kilku filmach. Piękne podsumowanie 15-letniej kariery uwielbianej w Polsce Katie Meluy, angielskiej wokalistki, która urodziła się w Gruzji, a pierwszą płytę wydała, mając zaledwie 19 lat. I w ciągu zaledwie pięciu miesięcy sprzedała ponad 1,8 mln płyt. "Ultimate Collection" to dwie płyty kompaktowe, na których zebrano nagrania ze wszystkich siedmiu wydanych przez Katie albumów. Artystka sama dokonała wyboru piosenek, których łącznie jest 33 (tyle lat miała Melua, kompilując wydawnictwo).
