Cynic powstał w listopadzie 1987 r. z inicjatywy Paula Masvidala i Seana Reinerta. Ta amerykańska grupa wykonuje progresywny thrash/death metal z wpływami jazzu i fusion. W 1993 roku ukazał się debiutancki album Cynic zatytułowany "Focus". Już rok później - jesienią 1994 roku zespół został rozwiązany. Powrócił dopiero w 2006 - wtedy wznowił działalność i rozpoczął prace nad drugim albumem. Krążek zatytułowany "Traced in Air" ukazał się w październiku 2008 roku. Teraz prezentujemy kolejne wydawnictwo formacji Cynic, zatytułowane "Re-traced". Zawiera ono inną, nową interpretację czterech utworów z "Traced In Air" oraz jeden nowy, niepublikowany do tej pory kawałek zatytułowany "Wheels Within Wheels" – polecamy! Lista utworów: 1. Space2. Założony w 1969 roku przez byłych członków Vanilla Fudge - Tim Bogert na basie i Carmine Appice (perkusja) - Cactus wydał swój debiutancki album w Atco label w 1970 roku. Chociaż pierwotnie planowali współpracę z Rod Stewart`em i Jeff Beck`iem, line-up umocnił Jim McCarty (od Detroit Wheels Mitch Ryder i The Buddy Miles Express) na gitarze oraz Rusty Day (z zespołu Teda Nugenta, Amboy Dukes) na wokalu i harmonijce. W tym składzie nagrali trzy pierwsze LP single.
