"Love Me Two Times", "When The Music's Over", "Strange Days", People Are Strange" – to kilka evergreenów zespołu The Doors, pochodzących z drugiej płyty. Album "Strange Days" miał premierę 25 września 1967 roku, czyli niedawno skończył 50 lat. Z okazji jubileuszu przygotowano jego specjalne wydanie. Płyta "Strange Days" ukazała się zaledwie parę miesięcy po legendarnym debiucie. Dotarła do trzeciego miejsca listy "Billboardu". Piosenki Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger i Ray Manzarek nagrali w studio Sunset Sound w Hollywood, a produkował je Paul A. Rothchild. Tam też została zarejestrowana pierwsza płyta. Sesja była dłuższa niż kilka miesięcy wcześniej, bo Doorsi mieli większy budżet na nagrania. W studiu zespół po raz pierwszy użył magnetofonu ośmiościeżkowego. Pół wieku po premierze "Strange Days" przygotowano w formie podwójnego CD, na którym zamieszczono oryginalny miks mono oraz miks stereo. Kompozycje będą też dostępne jako pliki cyfrowe, także w formie streamingu. Miks mono będzie też wydany na winylu. Rocznicowe wznowienie wyprodukował Bruce Botnick, który był inżynierem dźwięku podczas oryginalnej sesji "Strange Days". On też dokonał remasteringu utworów. Miks mono po raz pierwszy ukaże się w formie CD. Ceniony dziennikarz muzyczny David Fricke napisał notkę do okolicznościowego wznowienia.
