Byron Lee (27 czerwca 1935 r. - 4 listopada 2008 r.) był jamajskim muzykiem, producentem i przedsiębiorcą, najbardziej znanym ze swojej pracy jako lider Dragonaires. Byron Lee jest znany z wprowadzenia elektrycznej gitary basowej na Jamajkę pod koniec 1959 lub 1960. Gitara basowa szybko zyskała popularność w całym kraju i wkrótce stała się standardem. Elektryczny bas, głośniejszy, wyraźniejszy i bardziej bezpośredni, wkrótce zmienił całe brzmienie jamajskiej muzyki, szczególnie po tym, jak polubił ją basista Skatalites Lloyd Brevett. Byron Lee i jego zespół, The Dragonaires, są prezentowani w pierwszym filmie o Jamesie Bondzie, "Dr. No", w Kingston na Jamajce w 1962 roku.
