Kolejna część kultowej wśród fanów Boba Dylana serii The Bootleg Series zawiera niepublikowane wcześniej nagrania studyjne – w tym nigdy niesłyszane wcześniej piosenki, odrzuty, wersje demo i alternatywne utworów pochodzących z sesji nagraniowych do albumów „Bringing It All Back Home”, „Highway 61 Revisited” i „Blonde On Blonde”. Płyty te są trylogią, które umocniły Dylana reputację jako tekściarza oraz artysty mającego coraz większy wpływ na kulturę tamtych lat. Wszystkie dźwięki na „The Bootleg Series. Volume 12: The Cutting Edge 1965-1966” zawierają dźwięki przeniesione z oryginalnych taśm studyjnych i dokładnie pokazują proces kreatywny towarzyszący nagraniom, pozwalający fanom poznać proces ewolucji jego najsłynniejszych nagrań w najbardziej owocnym okresie twórczości Dylana. Dodatkowo płycie towarzyszy książeczka z setką rzadko spotykanych bądź nigdy wcześniej niepublikowanych zdjęć i esejami napisanymi specjalnie na tę okazję przez Billa Flanagana i Seana Wilentza.Tracklista:CD 11. Carmen Mercedes McRae (ur. 8 kwietnia 1922 w Nowym Jorku, zm. 10 listopada 1994 w Beverly Hills) – amerykańska wokalistka, pianistka i kompozytorka jazzowa. Debiutowała w 1944 w big-bandzie Benny'ego Cartera. Następnie przez krótki czas śpiewała z orkiestrą Counta Basiego. W latach 1946-47 pracowała w big-bandzie Mercera Ellingtona. Występowała w klubach Los Angeles i Hollywood. W 1991 wycofała się z życia muzycznego z przyczyn zdrowotnych (rozedma płuc). Siedmiokrotnie nominowana do nagrody Grammy. W 1994 została laureatką NEA Jazz Masters Award. Tracklista: 1. Just One of Those Things 2. Sometimes I'm Happy 3. Something to Live for 4. Love Is Here to Stay 5. I Can't Get Started (With You) 6.
