Tyondai na scenie muzycznej działa jednak od lat 90. i współpracował również z takimi wykonawcami jak Prefuse 73, Glenn Branca czy Kronos Quartet. "Central Market" to drugi, a pierwszy w barwach Warpa album wydany pod własnym nazwiskiem. Do tej pory poskładana z loopów muzyka Tyondaia urastała do rozmiarów orkiestry, udawała ją. Tutaj na "Central Market" artysta, niegdyś student Hartford School of Music Conservatory w Connecticut, dla orkiestry komponuje a na płycie towarzyszy mu nowojorska Wordless Music Orchestra m.in. znana z wykonania symfonicznej kompozycji Johnny'ego Greenwooda z Radiohead pt "Popcorn Superhet Receiver". Na "Central Market" muzyka brzmi potężnie i niemal klasycznie (główną inspiracją jest tutaj Igor Strawiński a szczególnie orkiestrowy fragment opery "Słowik"), jednak jak przystało na członka Battles również bardzo energetycznie i porywająco.

Po raz pierwszy Efterklang zaprezentował materiał ze swojego czwartego albumu Piramida na żywo w maju zeszłego roku, podczas wyprzedanego koncertu w Sydney Opera House. Sukces występu, podczas którego wspomagali ich muzycy Sydney Symphony Orchestra sprawił, że duńska formacja zdecydowała się ruszyć ze swoim wyjątkowym projektem po całym świecie. Orkiestrowymi aranżacjami zajęli się Dane Karsten Fundal oraz nowojorska kompozytorka Missy Mazzoli. The Piramida Concerts w 2012 roku były prezentowane piętnaście razy, między innymi w londyńskim Barbican (z udziałem Northern Sinfonia) oraz w nowojorskim Metropolitan Museum (z The Wordless Music Orchestra). Chociaż punktem wyjścia był materiał z płyty Piramida, to jednak The Piramida Concerts zdecydowanie różniły się od płytowego pierwowzoru. Efterklang zdecydowali się zarejestrować dwa występy, które odbyły się w ich rodzimej Kopenhadze i opublikować je na płycie. Album The Piramida Concert został zarejestrowany w październiku 2012 roku w Royal Academy Of Music Concert Hall w Kopenhadze.
