Producent: Paul Simon Inżynier dźwięku: Roy Halee Najbardziej ryzykowny projekt w historii muzyki popularnej okazał się jednym z najbardziej spektakularnych sukcesów artystycznych i komercyjnych. Artystę zachwyciło bogactwo rytmiczne i niezwykłe harmonie wokalne afrykańskiej muzyki. Najbardziej niezapomniane piosenki z tej pełnej niespodzianek płyty to właśnie utwory wykonywane z chórem, m.in. Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes. Jest to piosenka That Was Your Mother z udziałem zespołu Zydeco (kreolski styl z Louisiany) Good Rockin’ Dopsie And The Twisters prowadzonego przez energetycznego „króla akordeonu” Altona „Dopsie” Rubina. A także – zamykający GRACELAND – utwór All Around the World or the Myth of Fingerprints zarejestrowany wraz ze znakomitym, eklektycznym zespołem Los Lobos, utworzonym przez „Chicanos” z Los Angeles.
