Oryginalnie wydany na początku 2008 roku "Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel", był debiutem Atlas Sound, solowego projektu frontmana Deerhunter, Bradforda Coxa. Całość została skomponowana i wygenerowana przy pomocy komputera, wyposażonego w oprogramowanie Ableton Live. Tworzony na zasadzie strumienia świadomości, gdzie każda z piosenek powstała w ciągu kilku godzin. Zarówno teksty, jak i muzyka. Piosenki mają charakter autobiograficzny i opisują życiowe doświadczenia Coxa, na które składają się znieważenia jakich doświadczył jako dziecko, uzależnienie od narkotyków czy czas spędzony w szpitalu, gdy jako nastolatek zmagał się z genetyczną chorobą zwaną zespołem Marfana. Wiele tekstów odnosi się także do jego przyjaciela z Deerhunter, gitarzysty Lockett Pundt, któremu album został zadedykowany.
