Debiutancki album The Beat Escape "Life Is Short The Answer's Long" ukazuje się nakładem Bella Union 27 kwietnia. Dziewięć utworów to psychodeliczny, elektroniczny pop, z własnym, nieśpiesznym rytmem zanurzonym w refleksji. Utwór otwierający wydawnictwo "Sign of Age" to hipnotyzująca sekwencja i melancholijne akordy przypominające dokonania Angelo Badalamentiego.
