Kasabian to wielcy heretycy brytyjskiej sceny rockowej. 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum - 'To album o ludziach uciekających przed światem do narkotyków, To świat przeciwieństw, gdzie żebracy mogą być książętami. W obecnej sytuacji, to chyba całkiem miłe miejsce'. Koncept album wyprodukował Dan the Automator znany ze współpracy min. z DJ Shadow. Na brzmienie "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" wpłynęły płyty "Entroducing" DJ-a Shadowa i "Dig Your Own Hole" The Chemical Brothers, z których zespół stworzył soundtrack do kończącej się dekady. Czas na szaleństwo. Album ukaże się w ekologicznym opakowaniu i niskiej cenie. Krążek promuje singiel 'Fire'.
