Available in both standard CD and also multi-channel DSD hybrid SACD formats, this second volume of Hyperion’s project to record all of Monteverdi’s sacred music focuses on works to be found in the 1650 publication Messa a quattro voci e salmi. Here we find a glorious Mass-setting (one of only three to have survived complete – the 1597 Mass is recorded on volume 1), and the composer’s well crafted response to the epic Litany of Loreto. The third work here with full choir is the five-part Exultent caeli, a suitably joyous little work published in 1629. W polskiej muzyce rozrywkowej od lat niezwykle popularne były duety wokalne. Już przed drugą wojną światową piosenka „Rumbolero”, w wykonaniu duetu Hanna Ordonówna i Eugeniusz Bodo, zrobiła prawdziwą furorę na firmamencie muzycznym. Po wojnie duety wokalne tworzyli, m.in. Marta Mirska – Jan Ciżyński, Barbara Muszyńska – Włodzimierz Kotarba, Barbara Dunin – Zbigniew Kurtycz, Zofia Szumer – Zbigniew Frankiewicz znani bardziej jako duet „Framerowie”. Wśród tych par był jeszcze jeden niezwykły duet, którego piosenki są po dziś dzień lubiane i chętnie słuchane – Danuta Rinn i Bogdan Czyżewski.

Wśród trzynastu wykonawców, których przeboje usłyszymy na płytach „Lubie polskie” znalazł się Andrzej „Piasek” Piaseczny - wokalista i autor tekstów, były wokalista zespołu Mafia.Jego przeboje na trwałe wpisały się w kanon polskiej muzyki rozrywkowej. Najbardziej znane i lubiane przeboje Piaska znajdziemy na albumie z serii „Lubię polskie”.
Tubis Trio powraca ze swoim drugim studyjnym albumem. Cieszy to tym bardziej, że przecież odstęp pomiędzy debiutanckim, koncertowym „Live In Luxembourg” z 2010 roku, a zeszłorocznym krążkiem „The Truth” był spory. „The Truth”, pomimo swojej niezaprzeczalnej witalności, było albumem zdecydowanie bardziej stonowanym, a „Flashback” zaczyna się dokładnie tam, gdzie tamten krążek się kończył. Nowe kompozycje to nieokiełznany wulkan energii, prezentujące Tubis Trio jako pewny, świadomy swojej mocy i umiejętności skład. Chociaż wirtuozeria muzyków jest niezaprzeczalna i godna podziwu, to jest tylko jednym z wielu środków wyrazu, a nigdy celem. Wielowątkowe, pięknie rozwijające się kompozycje, świeżość, niesamowita swoboda, luz i radość grania przy jednoczesnej umiejętność budowania dramaturgii to elementy składające się na wyjątkowość „Flashback”.
