Drugą dziesiątkę swoich studyjnych wydawnictw, legenda melodyjnego death metalu, kanadyjska formacja Kataklysm, otworzyła imponująco. "Waiting For The End To Come", wbrew tytułowi, z pewnością nie zwiastuje końca grupy. To bez cienia wątpliwości jedna z najmocniejszych pozycji w jej dorobku. Maurizio Iacono (śpiew), Jean-Francois Dagenais (gitary), Stephane Barbe (gitara basowa) oraz Oli Beaudoin (perkusja) pracowali nad kilkunastoma premierowymi kompozycjami z renomowanym producentem Chrisem "Zeussem" Harrisem (Hatebreed, Suffocation, Chimaira, All That Remains), który zajął się miksami i masteringiem. Produkcja to jak zwykle dzieło Jeana-Francois. Rezultatem jest fantastyczna porcja typowego dla kapeli z Montrealu melodyjnego death metalu, który bynajmniej nie nosi znamion rutyny, braku świeżości, czy nudy. To kilkanaście kapitalnych kawałków, przy których będziecie machać łepetyną bez opamiętania! Jeśli zaopatrzycie się w wersję digipackową lub winylową, przekonacie się, że Kataklysm potrafi nagrywać świetne covery. Na tych formatach znalazła się bowiem jako bonus przeróbka "American Way" thrashowej legendy Scared Reich. Graficznie całość oprawili dwaj artyści: Eliran Kantor (digi i winyl; m.in. Testament) oraz Peter Sallai (jewel case CD; m.in. Sabaton).
