Wybitny kompozytor pochodzący z Niemiec Jan Sebastian Bach, urodzony w 1685 w Eisenach, zmarł w 1750 w Lipsku. Artysta był równie wirtuozem organ, komponował w epoce baroku i był kompozytorem dworskich. Jest to jedna z najwybitniejszych postaci w dziejach muzyki.
