Materiał na płytę Babadag zaczął powstawać w 2010 roku. Muzykę i teksty napisała Ola Bilińska, założycielka projektu, aranże utworów powstawały na próbach, przy udziale całego zespołu. Głównym założeniem Babadag jest „organiczność”, naturalność, powrót do tradycji zarówno jeśli chodzi o muzykę, jak i sposób jej rejestracji, więc od początku jasna była kwestia nagrywania: na taśmie, na analogowym sprzęcie i „na setkę”.

At the end of the war, Martinu° was the only major Czech composer of his generation to have survived.Yet through the underlying currents of menace in the later works, the irrepressible Czech spirit survives, and the country’s folk music is never far from the surface in these powerful and sincere works.
