Muzyka chóralna Brahmsa to tak różne utwory, jak majestatyczne i podniosłe „Fest- und Gedenksprüche” oraz urzekające lekkością i bogactwem „Pieśni Op. 17” na głosy żeńskie, rogi i harfę. Brahms dyrygował amatorskimi chórami na przestrzeni całej swojej kariery, zarówno dlatego, że było to niezłe źródło dochodów, jak i dlatego, że po prostu lubił kontakt z entuzjastycznymi muzykami-amatorami, a szczególnie z dziewczętami z jego wielu chórów. Dawało mu to także możliwość zgłębiania muzyki minionych er – Bacha, Schütza, Buxtehudego i wielu innych – która dla Brahmsa stanowiła ważny element jego muzycznego dziedzictwa i którą przywracał do życia w kulturze, która praktycznie nie znała swojej własnej historii. Jest więc w pewnym sensie uzasadnione nazywanie Brahmsa pionierem muzyki dawnej. Wspaniałe wykonania zamieszczone na tych płytach CD są dziełem współczesnego chóru o rozmiarach podobnych do chórów Brahmsa i doświadczonego dyrygenta chóralnego Nicola Matta.
"Rex" to trzeci album studyjny Szweckiego zespołu metalowego Vampire, który podniósł się z krypty w 2011 roku, a dziś prezentuje swoje najmocniejsze dzieło. Ten projekt przyzywa piekło na Ziemię łącząc wpływy Dissection, Bathory, Mercyful Fate i wczesnego Kreatora!
