Nowy album zatytułowany Kisses on the Bottom to zbiór standardów, przy których wychowywał się McCartney. Wzbogacą go dodatkowo dwie autorskie kompozycje Paula McCartneya My Valentine i Only Our Hearts.Tytuł Kisses On The Bottom pochodzi z otwierającej album piosenki I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter nagranej w 1935 r. przez Fatsa Wallera, w której znajdują się słowa „I’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter and make believe it came from you. I’m gonna write words oh so sweet. They’re gonna knock me off of my feet. A lot of kisses on the bottom, I’ll be glad I got’em”.Płyta powstawała w legendarnych Capitol Studios w Los Angeles, w Nowym Jorku i Londynie w 2011 roku. Gościnnie wystąpili na niej Eric Clapton i Stevie Wonder, w piosenkach My Valentine  i Only Our Hearts. Clapton pojawił się także w utworze Get Yourself Another Fool.Graficzna strona albumu opracowana została przez Jonathana Schofielda i wykreowana przez Matthew Coopera (który współpracował m.in. z Arctic Monkeys czy Franzem Ferdinandem). Fotografia na okładkę wykonana została przez córkę McCartneya, Mary McCartney.Album będzie dostępny w wersji standardowej (14 nagrań)  oraz w wersji Deluxe (z dwoma dodatkowymi nagraniami: Baby’s Request oraz My One And Only Love). Na płycie w wersji Deluxe oprócz dwóch dodatkowych utworów znajdzie się także kod umożliwiający ściągnięcie koncertu z Capitol Studio (dostępny od 14 lutego na stronie www.paulmccartney.com), a także obszerne notki i dodatkowe materiały, jak np. trzy pocztówki.Album będzie także dostępny w wersji vinylowej i elektronicznej.
