Macy Gray, po czterech latach milczenia, powraca z nowym dynamicznym materiałem. Nowa płyta będzie zatytułowana BIG. Za brzmienie płyty współodpowiedzialni byli will.i.am i Ron Fair.Po raz pierwszy Macy postanowiła pracować z innymi gwiazdami. Dzięki temu na płycie usłyszymy także Natalie Cole (“Finally Made Me Happy”) i Fergie (“Glad You’re Here”). Swój wkład w płytę mieli także Justin Timberlake i NAS.O współpracy z gwiazdami Macy powiedziała “byłam całkowicie otwarta na pomysły i sugestie. Poczułam ich energię, poznałam ich pomysły co bardzo pozytywnie wpłynęło na prace nad albumem”.Album BIG to swoisty dziennik opisujący intymne przeżycia Mayc z ostatnich lat, rozstanie z mężem (“Finally Made Me Happy,” “Shoo Be Doo,” “Get Out”), samotne macierzyństwo (“What I Gotta Do,” “Okay”), wspomnienia szczęśliwych momentów (“Ghetto Love,” “Glad You’re Here”), poszukiwania "tego jedynego” (“One”).Ciekawostką jest, że tekst do piosenki “Okay” (traktującej o samotnym macierzyństwie) napisali will.i.am i Justin Timberlake.
