Ten wspaniały box prezentuje owoc współpracy reżyserki filmowej Chantal Akerman i wiolonczelistki Soni Wieder-Atherton, w postaci trzech filmów: Avec Sonia Wieder- Atherton, A l’Est avec Sonia Wieder-Atherton oraz Trois Strophes sur le nom de Sacher, de Henri Dutilleux. W filmach zostały wykorzystane utwory, dzięki którym wiolonczelistka zbudowała swoją potęgę jako artystka: Nieszpory Rachmaninowa, Rückert-Lieder Mahlera czy Duo Seraphim, Ritornello Monteverdiego. Na płytach znajduje się także polski akcent – udział Orkiestry Sinfonia Varsovia.Sonia Wieder-Atherton jest uważana za jedną z najbardziej wszechstronnych artystek, ciągle poszukującą ciekawych rozwiązań, posiadającą niezwykle rozległy repertuar. Chantal Akerman zaś znana jest z takich filmów jak: Les Rendez-vous d’Anna (Meetings with Anna) (1978), Toute une nuit (All Night Long) (1982), Golden Eighties (1986),, Nuit et jour (Night and Day) (1991).  Ostatnie prace łączą w sobie dokument i autobiograficzną fikcję: Sud (South) (1999) i La Captive (The Captive) (2000).
