Album został wyprodukowany przez Josha Wellsa z Black Mountain, który jest również perkusistą zespołu od 2012 roku. Materiał zarejestrowano w The Balloon Factory. "W zeszłym roku odkryłem, że oryginalny tytuł "The Wild Ones" (najlepszej ballady anglojęzycznej ostatniego stulecia) to "Ken". Dostałem olśnienia, ta wiadomość mnie poraziła. Chcąc podtrzymać to uczucie jak najdłużej postanowiłem wykorzystać oryginalny tytuł utworu do własnych celów. Nie myślałem o grupie Suede kiedy pisałem nowe kompozycje. Wspominałem raczej ostatnie lata panowania Thatcher. W tamtym czasie muzyka była dla mnie jak choroba.
