Quatuor Mosaïques to austriacki kwartet smyczkowy, założony w 1987 roku przez członków Concentus Musicus Wien Nikolausa Harnoncourta, specjalizujący się w grze na historycznych instrumentach i w wykonawstwie muzyki XVIII-wiecznej.  Ich celem nie było wykreowanie swoistej „autentyczności” rodem z muzeów, ale przekonanie słuchaczy, że ich interpretacje odnoszą się do tradycji wielkich europejskich kwartetów. Inspiracją był Végh Quartet, w którym I skrzypek - Erich Höbarth był przez kilka lat członkiem.Członkowie kwartetu uważają, że podobnie jak w mozaikach – to szczegóły tworzą doskonałą całość. Takie podejście do interpretacji muzyki sprawia, że zespół należy do najwybitniejszych kwartetów smyczkowych światowego formatu. Jest laureatem wielu nagród, w tym prestiżowego Gramophone Award (za nagrania twórczości Józefa Haydna). Występują na całym świecie, także z wybitnymi artystami: pianistami: András Schiffem i Patrickiem Cohenem, klarnecistami Wolfgangiem and Sabine Meyer, czy wiolonczelistami: Miklós Pérenyi and Raphael Pidoux. Repertuar zespołu jest bardzo rozległy: od rzadko wykonywanych utworów Pleyela, Tomasiniego, Wernera, Grossa, przez klasyków wiedeńskich i kompozytorów romantycznych: Schumanna i Brahmsa, aż po kompozytorów XX-wiecznych, takich jak: Debussy`ego, Bartóka i Weberna.5-płytowy box prezentuje wybitne nagrania Quatuor Mosaïques, zawierające wspaniałe przykłady kwartetów smyczkowych okresu klasycyzmu i romantyzmu pięciu wybitnych kompozytorów: Józefa Haydna, Wolfganga Amadeusza Mozarta, Ludwiga van Beethovena, Franza Schuberta Felixa Bartholdy-Mendelssohna. Jest to nie tylko podróż przez rozwój samego gatunku, ale także oddaje podejście do muzyki poszczególnych epok jednego z najlepszych kwartetów świata.

Three years have passed since the release of the previous volume in this series, but now Miklós Spányi continues his traversal of the keyboard concertos of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, a series which in Gramophone has been called a ‘unique monument to one of the 18th century's most underrated composers’. Once again Spányi has joined forces with the Hungarian period band Concerto Armonico, and together they offer us the first four works in a set of six, the Sei Concerti per il cembalo concertato. Composed during the early 1770s, the Sei Concerti were among the few concertos that C.P.E. Bach didn’t write specifically for himself to play. In order to secure a large number of subscribers for the scores, he advertised their publication repeatedly, marketing the works as ‘easy’. He also included parts for wind instruments (‘for reinforcement’, thus optional): two horns in all the fast movements, replaced by flutes in the slow movements. Bach’s aim was to make the works appealing to both players and listeners, and the result is a set of highly attractive pieces, with approachable melodies and dance rhythms but also displaying a new freedom with regard to conventional concerto form. Particularly striking is the fourth concerto, the four movements of which are run together seamlessly, while continuity is further reinforced by the reappearance of thematic material throughout the entire concerto. For these works, Miklós Spányi has chosen to perform the solo part on a harpsichord, a copy of an instrument from 1745 by the Antwerp builder Joannes Daniel Dulcken. Inspired by the English harpsichords that were imported in great number to Northern Germany during Bach’s time, Spányi has had his instrument fitted with a so-called ‘swell device’, enabling the performer to achieve dynamic shadings and crescendo-diminuendo effects consistent with the various instructions in Bach’s scores.

Wiseblood to piąty album „Corrosion of Conformity”, wydany 15 października 1996 r. Przez Colombia Records, drugi i ostatni album zespołu dla tej wytwórni. Jego nazwa pochodzi od powieści „Mądra krew”, napisanej przez południowogotyckiego pisarza Flannery O'Connor . Główny wokalista Metalliki, James Hetfield, daje swój wokal jako kopię zapasową dziewiątego utworu albumu „Man or Ash”. Piosenka „Drowning in a Daydream” została nominowana do nagrody Best Metal Performance na 40. ceremonii rozdania nagród Grammy (która trafiła do Tool za „ Ænema ”). Album sprzedał się w liczbie 130 000 egzemplarzy do 1999 r. Corrosion of Conformity (C.O.C.) – amerykański zespół założony w Releigh (Północna Karolina) w 1982 roku. Jest uznawany za jedną z pierwszych grup, które grały fuzję punk rocka i heavy metalu. W latach dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku grupa zwróciła się w kierunku stoner metalu i klasycznego hard rocka. Zespół powstał z inicjatywy gitarzysty Woodiego Weathermana, do którego dołączyli Reed Mullin i Eric Eycke.
