Tytuł albumu Andrew Cyrilla "Lebroba" to połączenie słów Leland, Brooklyn i Baltimore, czyli nazw miejscowości, w których urodzili się trzej protagoniści tego wydania. Wszyscy mieli swoje debiuty dla ECM wiele lat temu: perkusista Andrew Cyrille na albumie Mariona Browna "Afternoon of a Georgia Faun" (1970), trębacz Wadada Leo Smith na swoim "Divine Love" (1978), a gitarzysta Bill Frisell na "Fluid Rustle" (1979) Eberharda Webera. Frisell już wcześniej współpracował z Cyrillem przy "The Declaration of Musical Independence" (ECM), ale "Lebroba" to pierwsze spotkanie gitarzysty z Wadadą Leo Smithem.  Cyrille jako leader daje dużo przestrzeni twórczej swoim muzykom. Wszyscy trzej mieli okazje nagrać na ten album własne kompozycje, np. Wadada stworzył 17-minutową dedykację dla Alice Coltrain zatytułowaną "Turiya". W swoich kompozycjach Cyrille rzadko skupia uwagę na bębnach, kładąc większy nacisk na melodie i interakcje, wrażliwość i przestrzeń. Mamy tu odniesienia do muzyki zachodnio-afrykańskiej i bluesa, ale priorytetem Cyrille’a jest obecnie eliptyczny styl, w którym metrum jest raczej domyślne, niż ustalone. Tracklista: 1.
