Zespół Alamire pod dyrekcją Davida Skinnera wykonuje motety niemieckiego kompozytora przełomu baroku i reneseansu Hieronymusa Praetoriusa (1560–1629). Kompozytor w tych utworach czerpał z bogatego dorobku takich twórców jak Hans Leo Hassler i Giovanni Gabrieli. Motety te są reakcją północnoniemieckiego kompozytora na muzykę włoską i generalnie sztukę kontrreformacji. Płyta zawierająca utwory wokalne na chór z towarzyszeniem instrumentów oraz na organy solo została nagrana we wspaniałej akustyce katedry w Roskilde w Danii.
The award-winning Ensemble L'Ornamento comes from the Basel area. The four founding members are bound together by a common chamber music path and a sound forged in many years of collaboration that makes this ensemble so distinctive. The young musicians have already played more than 200 concerts in many parts of Europe.
