Witold Lutosławski – jeden z największych kompozytorów 20 wieku nie pozostawił po sobie wielkiej zapisanej spóścizny. Znane są jego wariacje na temat Paganiniego – ale to wszystko, co zostało z jego kompozycji na dwa fortepiany. W czasie II Wojny Światowej Lutosławsi grywał duety z drugim wielkim polskim artystą – Andrzejem Panufnikiem. Na płycie znajduje się całość pianistycznej twórczości Lutosławskiego w wykonaniu Corinny Simon.
