Artysta postrzega album, jako “zgłębianie możliwości, leżących w muzyce Jana Sebastiana Bacha i w samym klawesynie”. Chwalony przez radio France Musique za “dojrzałość, fantastyczne touche oraz oryginalność”, obdarzony licznymi talentami Rondeau czuje, że jako młody współczesny artysta, ma “niezwykłą szansę, aby dotrzeć do międzynarodowej publiczności”.“Imagine” prezentuje jedno z najbardziej cenionych klawesynowych dzieł Bacha – Koncert Włoski BWV 971, ale zawiera też transkrypcje utworów, które kompozytor przeznaczył oryginalnie na inne instrumenty: skrzypce, lutnię i flet. “Nie jest to jednak album z transkrypcjami” – mówi Rondeau – “tak jak sugeruje tytuł, główne założenia płyty oscylują wokół pojęcia wyobraźni – eksplorowaniu wszelkich możliwości, które leżą w muzyce Jana Sebastiana Bacha i w możliwościach samego klawesynu.
