Dziewiąty studyjny album The Black Keys, „Let’s Rock,” jest powrotem do bezpośredniego rocka tworzonego przez wokalistę/gitarzystę Dana Auerbacha i perkusistę Patricka Carneya we wczesnych latach zespołu. Auerbach mówi, „Kiedy jesteśmy razem – jesteśmy The Black Keys, zespołem, w którym znajduje się prawdziwa magia, i zawsze tam była, odkąd mieliśmy 16 lat”. „Let’s Rock” został napisany i wyprodukowany przez Auerbacha i Carneya w studio Easy Eye Sound w Nashville i zawiera chórki w wykonaniu Leisy Hans i Ashley Wilcoxson. The Black Keys, którzy powstali w Akron, Ohio w 2001 roku, wydali 8 albumów studyjnych: debiut „The Big Come Up” (2002), „Thickfreakness” (2003) i „Rubber Factory” (2004), a także ich wydawnictwa w Nonesuch Records: „Magic Potion” (2006), „Attack & Release” (2008), „Brothers” (2010), „El Camino” (2011) i „Turn Blue” (2014).
