Nie inspiruje mnie dzisiejsza muzyka - twierdzi 22-letnia pianistka i wokalistka Norah Jones. Pewnie dlatego debiutancki album "Come Away With Me" nagrała dla wytwórni jazzowej, a jego producentem został leciwy Arif Mardin. Mimo że na płycie dominuje jazzujące, akustyczne granie, to słychać również staromodny soul, blues, a nawet starą balladę "Cold Cold Heart" country'owca Hanka Williamsa. Jednak to niepowtarzalny głos i interpretacja Norah stanowią o nieprzeciętności tego wydawnictwa. W Polsce album "Come Away With Me" również odniósł oszałamiający sukces sprzedając się w ilości ponad 65.000 nośników.
