Dwie trasy koncertowe z Nightwish, platynowa i dwie złote płyty w Finlandii oraz single w czołówce list przebojów - wydaje się, że dla zespołu Indica nie ma lepszego miejsca niż być na topie. Grupa została założona w 2001 roku przez szkolne koleżanki - Jonsu (śpiew, skrzypce, gitara, instrumenty klawiszowe) i Heini (bas), które poznały się grając razem w dziecięcej orkiestrze. W niedługim czasie skład uzupełniły Sirkku (instrumenty klawiszowe, klarnet), Jenny (gitara) i Laura (perkusja). Sukces przyszedł niespodziewanie szybko. W 2003 roku dziewczyny podpisały swój pierwszy kontrakt i wydały debiutancki album "Ikuinen Virta", który przez 30 tygodni gościł na fińskich listach przebojów i osiągnął status platyny. Zespół szturmem zdobył serca fanów swoją mieszanką współczesnego popu, rocka, egzotyki, melancholii i mistycznych, inspirowanych naturą tekstów. Od tego czasu Indica wydała trzy albumy, z których dwa pokryły się złotem. Ostatnia z nich "Valoissa" z 2008 roku została wyprodukowana przez Toumasa Holopainena, szefa formacji Nightwish, który był również zaangażowany w prace nad nową płytą. "A Way Away" to kompilacja najlepszych utworów zespołu nagrana w języku angielskim na potrzeby międzynarodowego rynku. W produkcji współuczestniczył Roland Spremberg (A-ha, Him) a miksy są dziełem marka Schettlera (Simpy Red, Bullet For My Valentine).
