Wydawnictwo oryginalnie miało premierę 3 lipca 1968 roku. „Hello, I Love You”, „Love Street”, czy „The Unknown Soldier” to tylko niektóre z klasyków, jakie znalazły się na trzeciej płycie w dyskografii The Doors. I jedynej w dorobku kapeli, która osiągnęła szczyt notowania „Billboardu”. Bruce Botnick, inżynier dźwięku, który pracował z Doorsami nad „Waiting For The Sun”, przygotował remastering wersji stereo albumu z oryginalnych, analogowych taśm. „Przyznam, że wolę niektóre z tych wczesnych miksów od tego, co ostatecznie znalazło się na płycie.
